Hraparak: HHK collects data of citizens absent from Armenia

“Hraparak” writes, citing its sources that the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK), using its administrative resource, is collecting data on people absent from Armenia from all the passport units of Yerevan so as to use this data in favor of incumbent Yerevan Mayor Taron Margarian on the day of elections to the Yerevan Council of Elders.

“The other parties running in the elections learned about it and compiled their own reliable lists of voters absent from the country. On May 5 their commission members and proxies will have the lists with names of these people. They will monitor the election process in polling stations and foil attempts to vote instead of absent people. Besides, they are going to demand severe punishment for election commission chairmen, up to institution of criminal proceedings. This solidarity of political forces running in the election raises hopes that they will cooperate in the future as well,” the paper notes.
