Deputy chairman of Heritage Party testifies in two cases
The deputy chairman of Heritage Party Armen Martirosian was summoned to Armenia’s Special Investigation Service today to testify as a witness of the incident that happened on Baghramian Avenue of Yerevan on April 9. Armen Martirosian himself informed reporters about it outside the Special Investigation Service.
“I once again described the events of that day. The questioning passed off well, without any problems,” Martirosian said. According to him, two criminal cases were opened, and both are investigated by the same investigator. He added that he testified in both cases.
“No policemen who behave inadequately will be present at such events anymore. These criminal cases will contribute to it,” Martirosian noted. In his words, such incidents take place only when the opposition holds an action.
“This is the attitude of the police to the opposition, even though the police as a non-political organization must not exhibit such behavior,” Martirosian said.
We would remind you that Heritage Party’s deputy chairman Armen Martirosian received injuries in a scuffle with police on Baghramian Avenue on April 9 and taken to a police station.
