Police hotline receives 25 reports about violations
As of May 2, the RA Police Passport and Visa Department’s hotline set up on 26 March 2013 has received 25 reports concerning lists of Yerevan voters, including 3 reports about inaccuracies, according to the press service of Armenian police.
In particular:
1. There was one report about the absence of personal data of voters in a list. The information was checked and the inaccuracy eliminated.
2. Citizen Robert Avetisian informed the police that his brother, Samvel Avetisian, died in 1999, but the voter list still contained his personal data. The checks showed that after Samvel Avetisian’s death, his name was not removed from the State Register. The inaccuracy was eliminated.
3. Citizen Siranush Harutyunian said that she lives in apartment No 3 at 42 Avanesov Street in Yerevan, but apartment 2 is indicated in the list. The inaccuracy was eliminated.
The other 22 reports were related to the absence of citizens’ data in voter lists, the procedures for removing the names of former owners of dwelling spaces from the register, and the examination of applications for removal from the register.
