PSRC deputy head: Gas price increase is inevitable
“The gas price will increase. The question is whether the gas price will go up by 30% or 64%,” the deputy head of Public Services Regulatory Commission Shiraz Kirakosian told reporters and citizens staging a protest.
In his words, an increase in prices is inevitable because the gas price rose at the border and currently costs $270 and not $180 per 1,000 cubic meters.
“The prime minister handed me a letter about 30% subsidizing of the gas price at the border by the government,” S. Kirakosian noted.
He added that the electricity price depends on the tariff of natural gas.
