Gurgen Arsenian does not obey decision of BHK faction
Despite the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) leader Gagik Tsarukian’s statement that their party cannot be the opposition, concerns among the businessmen – BHK members have not eased, “Hraparak” writes.
“On Monday Tsarukian called a sitting of BHK faction and declared that they would vote against the government program. The businessmen were displeased with that decision. They did not say anything, but complained to their colleagues from Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) and then said they would not participate in the vote. At the sitting, Tsarukian also declared that BHK would remain an alternative, rather than become a tough opposition force.
Gurgen Arsenian objected to the refusal to become the opposition. He said: “I have my own position. I am the opposition”. During the votes, BHK members noticed that Arsenian did not vote in the same way as other members of the party: he voted against or abstained,” the paper notes.
