CSTO ministers sign statement on Nagorno Karabakh conflict
Foreign ministers of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) member states signed a joint statement reflecting the member states’ approaches to the crisis in Syria and Iran’s nuclear program, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said following a regular meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of CSTO Member States in Bishkek, according to ria.ru.
“The foreign ministers signed a statement on important international problems. The statement reflects approaches to the crisis in Syria, the situation around Iran’s nuclear program, Afghanistan, the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement, and other urgent issues,” Lavrov said.
According to him, the mechanisms of collective security and the development of peacekeeping mechanisms of collective rapid response forces were discussed at the joint sitting of foreign ministers, defense ministers and secretaries of the security councils.
