Officials and private persons contribute money to relief fund

Since morning, the relief fund for hailstorm-hit farmers of Armavir province has received money from high-ranking officials, benefactors, and private persons. In particular, the relief fund received AMD 300,000 from Minister of Transport and Communication Gagik Beglarian, AMD 224,000 from Minister of Culture Ms. Hasmik Poghosian, AMD 4 million from the owner of MAP CJSC Aleksan Petrosian, AMD 150,000 from Governor of Lori province Arthur Nalbandian, and AMD 50,000 from citizen Edward Ghazarian, Aysor.am was informed by the fund.

We would remind you that the prime minister, Armenian government members, governors, the parliamentary speaker, and deputies pledged to transfer money to the account of the relief fund for Armavir farmers. Armenian Police will transfer 11 million AMD.

The relief fund will operate until August 1. The collected money will be distributed among 12,000 families affected by the hailstorm.
