Two men injured in Avan shooting
The Nor Nork police unit received information at 01:45 a.m. on May 29 that two men – Artyom M., 24, and Robert H., 15, were hospitalized after they suffered gunshot wounds on 7th Street in Avan district of Yerevan, according to the press service of Armenian police. A doctor of the hospital said the men were unable to give any explanation.
Two cartridge cases from a hunting rifle were found at the crime scene outside house # 115 on 7th Street in Avan. There were also blood stains at the scene.
It was discovered that an argument broke out last night at house # 115, during which Gevorg H., 28, fired from his hinting rifle. Gevorg H. was taken to the Nor Nork police unit. Police seized his Bekas-AK12 rifle.
A criminal case was opened under Articles 34 and 104 of the Criminal Code.
Gevorg H. was arrested. An investigation is underway.
