Armine Ohanian: The initiative will show who is a reporter and who is not
A draft law on amendments to the law on copyright and adjacent rights has been submitted to the National Assembly of Armenia. Ms. Arpine Hovhannisian is the author of the draft related to newspapers and websites, the editor-in-chief of “Zhoghvurd” paper Taguhi Tovmasian said at a meeting with reporters today. In her words, the results of their announcement are already evident: websites have begun citing newspapers as sources.
“The draft law envisages references, which do not show the full content of a material, but say at the end of the material that the full text of the article is printed in today’s issue of the paper, and the website must have a hyperlink to the website whose material it has used,” the editor noted.
According to the editor-in-chief of “Hraparak” paper Armine Ohanian, the initiative will show who is a reporter and who is not.
Representative of “Azg” newspaper Marietta Khachatrian stressed the need to develop a program that will allow revealing and fining plagiarists.
