Police release new details about ex-governor Sergei Bagratian’s case
Abuses committed by the ex-governor of Vayots Dzor province Sergei Bagratian have been investigated by law enforcement agencies in recent months, the press service of Armenian police said.
Police have released new details about the preliminary instigation into the abuse of official authority by ex-governor Sergei Bagratian.
“About ten communities of Vayots Dzor province submitted false information to the agricultural department of the regional administration. Besides, false reports about beneficiaries of fuel were submitted, due to which 174,820 liters of diesel fuel allocated to Vayots Dzor residents were not distributed. The officials of the regional administration misused subsidies of 15,373,800 AMD,” the police said.
A criminal case was opened under Article 308 part 2 and Article 179 part 2 and 3 of the Criminal Code. The Special Investigation Service of Armenia is investigating the case.
