HAK faction deputies not punished, they make business trips
“Zhoghovurd” writes that spokeswoman for the National Assembly Gohar Poghosian refuted the newspaper’s information that the deputies of “Armenian National Congress” (HAK) faction were punished because of their criticism of the Armenian government: they are not included in international parliamentary delegations and groups.
Ms. Gohar Poghosian told the correspondent of “Zhoghovurd” that three deputies of HAK faction made business trips in May, following the discussions of the 2013-2014 government program. “Deputy of HAK faction Hrant Bagratian was in Brussels on May 28-30 as a member of Armenia’s parliamentary delegation to Euronest,” she said.
We would remind you that “Zhoghovurd” wrote yesterday that National Assembly speaker Hovik Abrahamian decided to punish HAK faction by not including the faction deputies in international parliamentary delegations and group. “A negative attitude is taken towards deputies of HAK faction. Although HAK is the largest opposition faction, its representatives do not make business trips. Instead of them, several deputies of the Republican Party of Armenia are included in each delegation,” the paper said.
