Agricultural fairs to open in Yerevan again
A fair of farm products will open on June 8 in the area adjacent to Malibu Café in Yerevan, the correspondent of Aysor.am was informed by Deputy Minister of Agriculture Robert Makarian.
There will be 150 stalls at the fair and it is planned to increase their number to 200.
R. Makarian said another two agricultural fairs will open in the capital city soon. One will be near Ayrarat Cinema and the other fair will be located in the square adjacent to Kasian Street.
When asked if agricultural fairs will be organized in other administrative districts of the city, the deputy minister replied that they will discuss the issue with Yerevan Municipality and open fairs if necessary.
Farmers selling farm products will be given free stalls, scales and carts. “Yerevan residents will receive an opportunity to buy fresh fruit and vegetables, while farmers will get an alternative,” Robert Makarian noted.
