Gagik Jangirian summoned by Defense Ministry’s Investigation Service
Deputy of the opposition Armenian National Congress (HAK) parliamentary faction Gagik Jangirian was summoned for questioning as part of the investigation into the murder near the house of Syunik regional governor.
The Investigation Service of Armenian Defense Ministry said Gagik Jangiaian earlier stated during a live program on Civilnet television channel that the June 1 shootout outside the governor’s house left not two, but far more people injured. “A grave crime was committed. One man was killed. An army officer was wounded, and yet another person received wounds. I am convinced that far more people were wounded,” Gagik Jangirian noted.
The Investigation Service has summoned Jangirian for questioning to clarify the source and veracity of the information provided by him.
