Janjughazian: Budget report should not be looked upon as show
“There is no need to make a show here. Yes, the emigration is not related to GDP growth, because there is no GDP growth in Armenia, there is a statistical forgery,” the head of Armenian National Congress (HAK) faction Levon Zurabian said in the parliament today.
In response to that, Deputy Minister of Finance Atom Janjughazian said the emigration rates are not related to GDP growth.
The deputy repeated that there is an economic recession and people simply flee the country. “The fact that you fabricate data lies on the government’s conscience,” Zurabian noted.
Janjughazian did not share the deputy’s opinion, saying that his claims can be true only if he names alternative services able to provide more exact figures.
“What we have presented today is the most trustworthy data known to us,” Janjughazian stated.
In his words, it is inadmissible to look upon the state budget execution report as a show.
