Vardan Minasian: Psychology of Armenia’s national team changed
Following a 4-0 win in Copenhagen when Armenia overwhelmed Denmark, the head coach of Armenia’s national football team Vardan Minasian said the team’s psychology has changed, according to the official website of the Football Federation of Armenia.
- What has changed in Armenia’s team after the match against Malta?
- The team’s psychology. Following that defeat we were dejected, but today we saw a team we are used to seeing. The result was not an accident. The score was a surprise, but not the game. I try not to concentrate on scores - I attach more importance to each game and its result.
- Was the tactics chosen beforehand or did the plans change after the first goal was scored?
- The tactics was chosen beforehand. We needed to defend and also to counterattack. The first goal which was netted quickly was a difficult one.
- Can we say after Denmark v Armenia that the outcome of the match against Malta was an accident?
- I think there are no accidents.
- Who is the best player in our national team?
- I can’t say. It is up to you to decide.
