SIS investigates fraud cases

The Special Investigation Service of Armenia is investigating a criminal case of former employee of Armenia’s State Revenue Committee Artak Edik Ghukasian who borrowed money from numerous citizens and put that money into circulation at the currency exchange outlets and pawnshops owned by him, also in connection with tax evasion and embezzlement in particular large amounts as well as other crimes committed by Ghukasian.

Citizens who suffered from Artak Ghukasian’s actions, i.e. those who lent money to Ghukasian and he did not repay his debt, are asked to call the Special Investigation Service (phone: 51-16-09).

The Special Investigation Service is also investigating a case related to the fraud committed by Arthur Vasil Andreasian and the abuses committed by a number of high-ranking policemen.

Citizens who suffered from actions of Arthur Andreasian, i.e. those lent money to him and he did not repay his debt, are asked to call SIS (phone: 51-15-24).
