Haykakan Zhamanak: Chairman of Armbusinessbank beaten

Chairman of Armbusinessbank CJSC Sergei Arzumanian was beaten cruelly in his office on the evening of June 10, “Haykakan Zhamanak” writes, citing its sources. He has already been absent from work for three days.

Rumors persist in the bank that 4-5 young men burst into Arzumanian’s office at the end of the workday. They did their “work” and silently left, after which Arzumanian came out of his office, with is face beaten beyond recognition. Some employees of the bank said that half an hour before the incident Arzumanian talked nervously with someone on the phone.

“We failed to find out who Sergei Arzumanian was talking to. He applied neither to the police nor to a medical institution. It is noteworthy that Arzumanian has worked in the banking system for a long time and is considered a professional. Armbusinessbank’s shareholder is Vitaly Grigorian who mostly lives abroad,” the paper notes.
