Deputy prime minister: Action will be taken on all violations
“Our legislation is not perfect, but it reduces all possible risks to a minimum. I don’t share the opinion that there is a large-scale dissipation of resources,” Armenia’s Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Territorial Administration Armen Gevorgian said in the parliament today.
Speaking about the Control Chamber-revealed violations concerning the 2012 state budget execution, Armen Gevorgian said: “The government has discussed in detail each problem revealed. Concrete approaches and decisions have been adopted on each issue. The implementation of those decisions is under immediate control of the government”.
In his words, the necessary measures have been taken, but under the law, economic or civil responsibility, such as compensation and fines, is imposed for such offences.
“Criminal responsibility should probably also be envisaged in these cases, which is an issue of improving the current legislation,” Armen Gevorgian noted.
He assured those present that action will be taken on all the violations revealed by the Control Chamber of Armenia.
