PM: Facts about violations should be submitted to law enforcers
At the government session today, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan said the facts of violations and misuses revealed by the Control Chamber should be submitted to law enforcement agencies.
“I will do my best so that answers to all the accusations will be given,” he stated.
According to T. Sargsyan, he shares the opinion of the parliament speaker Hovik Abrahamian who said that all the persons who misappropriated state budget money should be severely punished.
The prime minister said the Control Chamber of Armenia is a specialized body and should refrain from political assessments. “The parliament and the government shall give political assessments,” he noted.
He disagreed with the opinion that 70% of the budget is spent in a corrupt manner in all the spheres.
He told all the officials present at the government session to respond to the accusations against them: they should either refute the accusations, or prepare materials and send them to the prosecutor’s office, or admit the accusations and be punished.
