Ethics Committee terminates proceedings against N. Karapetian
The Ethics Committee of the National Assembly made a unanimous decision today to terminate the proceedings initiated against the member of Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) parliamentary faction Naira Karapetian based on an application of Director of Moscow House in Yerevan Ms. Armine Tutunjian, Pastinfo news agency said.
5 of the 7 members of the Ethics Committee were present at the sitting. The representatives of Armenian National Congress (HAK) and ARFD factions were absent.
The committee said there are no facts proving that Naira Katapetian violated ethical rules established by the Law on Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly. According to the commission, “such everyday problems lying in the plane of interpersonal relations and the behavior of parliamentary deputies in the process of such relations cannot be considered as hindering the formation of trust and respect to deputies and discrediting the proper conduct of a deputy”.
Let us remind you that following a telephone conversation between Moscow House Director Ms. Armine Tutunjian and HHK deputy Ms. Naira Karapetian, the NA Ethics Committee received Armine Tutunjian’s application to examine the conduct of deputy Naira Karapetian.
