Trade with EU as well as Customs Union is advantageous to Armenia
“If Armenia enters the Eurasian Customs Union, it will not be able to sign the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement with the European Union, which is scheduled for 2014-2015, “economist Samvel Avagian said at the meeting with reporters today. According to him, negotiations with the EU are underway.
The economist said that Armenia conducts trade with the EU as well as the Eurasian Union member and observer states, with the share of foreign trade being 29-30% in this case, while the level of trade turnover with the EU was higher in 2012. “Trade relations with both the European Union and the Eurasian Union are advantageous to Armenia,” S. Avagian noted.
