Investigation into case of Nubarashen’s former deputy head ends
The preliminary investigation into the criminal case against the former deputy head of Nubarashen penal institution David Muradian has ended, according to the Special Investigation Service of Armenia.
D. Muradian was detained in May 2013 on suspicion of having taken a bribe in particularly large amount from the convict Artak Hakobian. A criminal case was opened under Article 311 part 4 point 2 (taking bribes in particularly large amount) of the Criminal Code.
Investigators established that the former deputy head of Nubarashen penal institution David Muradian abused his position, demanded and accepted a bribe in particularly large amount (money and property) from the convict Artak Hakobian and his wife Hayastan Hakobian.
On June 24, 2013 the case was sent to the prosecutor for approval of the indictment. Then the case will go to court.
