Bordyuzha: Representatives of terrorist international fight in Syria
“There is no military solution to the Syrian problem. At the same time I am perplexed by the fact that some states support the Syrian opposition’s armed detachments composed of representatives of the terrorist international. It is inadmissible to supply the opposition with weapons and defense products,” CSTO Secretary General Nikolai Bordyuzha told a press conference in Yerevan today.
According to Bordyuzha, he is “baffled by the lukewarm reaction of the international community to the facts of cannibalism in Syria”. He said that citizens of a number of CIS member states, particularly Russia and Central Asian countries, are fighting on the side of militants in Syria.
“These are militants of informal armed groups who fought in conflicts in the Caucasus. A lot of citizens from CIS countries were trained in Afghanistan’s camps. Some of them gain experience in fights against NATO troops,” Bordyuzha said.
