Chorrord Inkinshkhanutyun: Checks continue in ice cream market
‘Chorrord Inkinshkanutyun’ paper wrote recently that the ice cream, in which spread was found, still remains in the market. In this connection the paper applied to the Head of State Food Safety Inspection Abram Bakhchigulian who said: “We sent samples of ice cream to the laboratory and revealed the product was out of line with standards. We filed respective letters to all manufacturers and asked them to provide information about technical conditions used in production”.
Asked if the ice cream that does not meet the labeling requirements has been recalled, Bakhchigulian replied: “Products are recalled when they pose a danger. In this case the matter concerns the quality and physical and chemical characteristic, rather than danger. It is a safe product”.
