Armenian president receives prosecutors general from CIS and Europe
Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan received today a delegation of prosecutors general from a number of countries of Europe and the CIS who arrived in Yerevan in connection with the celebration of the 95th anniversary of the prosecutor’s service of Armenia, the presidential press service said.
Serzh Sargsyan stated that in the 21st century no country can efficiently fight against organized crime on its own. He thanked the countries that closely cooperate and provide legal assistance to Armenia.
The president handed the Order of Honor to Russia’s Prosecutor General Yuri Chayka for his contribution to Armenian-Russian cooperation in the field of justice.
Yuri Chayka thanked Serzh Sargsyan for the award, noting the establishment of effective strategic relations between the prosecutor’s offices of Armenia and Russia.
