Baghdasarian levies taxes from headmasters

‘Chorrord Inknishkhanutyun’ writes citing its sources that Orinats Yerkir Party (OEK) led by Arthur Baghdasarian recently put forward an interesting initiative. According to the paper’s sources, the schools whose headmasters are devoted members of OEK have to transfer 500 AMD to the party’s budget.

“It is hard to say why OEK has decided to replenish the party’s budget at the expense of teachers. It should be mentioned that Arthur Baghdasarian has a unique ability to “make money out of nothing”, which is evident from the fact that he owns various businesses. Some secondary and higher educational institutions are a source of business for him,” the paper says.

The paper reminds its readers that at the last session the Armenian government decided to give tax privileges to Hayasy Group owned by Arthur Baghdasarian by extending the term of its tax liabilities’ fulfillment until January 1, 2014.
