Haykakan Zhamanak: Vardan Ghukasian beat up ex-chief of Ani police

Yesterday the former mayor of Gyumri Vardan Ghukasian finally attended the court hearing of his son-in-law’s case, but he refused to answer questions of the defender of the accused person’s rights, explaining that it is a woman, ‘Haykakan Zhamanak’ writes.

By the way, the member of Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) came with his retinue consisting of some 30 people. The judge carried out his instructions.

“Then, right in the courtroom, HHK’s vivid representative who for many years ruled and in fact continues to rule Gyumri, together with the men accompanying him, beat up the ex-chief of Ani police Samvel Harutyunian who is the father of the person accused in the case of Ghukasian’s son-in-law. The ex-chief of Ani police was taken to the intensive care unit of the Gyumri hospital,” the daily notes.
