Prime minister: investors start to take interest in greenhouse farming
By a decision of the Armenian government, in case of importing goods of over 300 million AMD under the investment program, the term of payment of customs bodies-calculated VAT by Kaga Group LLC will be expended for up to three years.
The prime minister said 60 jobs will be created thanks to the company’s investments. Kaga Group imports modern equipment. He added that greenhouse farming is a profitable business so investors have started to take interest in it.
The company plans to invest about 1.25 billion AMD in greenhouses to be constructed on 3 hectares in Kotayk province. With these investments, it will become possible to install modern equipment imported from the Netherlands and produce output of 0.84 billion AMD (in 2014), most of which will be imported to Russia and Georgia. Some 60 jobs will be created, with average wages of 80 thousand AMD in 2014.
