Iravunk: Suren Khachatrian plans to leave Armenia
Following the recent scandalous events, the former governor of Syunik province Suren Khachatrian has decided to leave Armenia forever. According to sources of ‘Iravunk’ paper, he plans to settle down in the French city of Lyons where his son was educated. He is now busy moving half of his businesses from Armenia. With this aim he took a short trip to France, returning from that country two days ago. S. Khachatrian plans to leave Armenia forever after the problems of his son charged in the scandalous shooting case are settled.
In order to clarify that information, the paper contacted Goris mayor Nelson Voskanian who said he is unaware of the former governor’s plans. “He often comes to Goris, I have talked to him many times, but we didn’t discus this subject,” the mayor said.
