GM Sergei Movsesian beats Jan Markos of Slovakia
Armenian GM Sergei Movsesian beat GM Jan Markos (Slovakia) and became the king of the live chess duel held within the framework of the festival in Bansca Stiavnica, Slovakia.
This is the 5th time Movsesian has been crowned as a king in Banska Stiavnica. Before this he got that title in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 winning accordingly against GMs Stohl, Navara, Hracek and Markos, Armchess.am reports.
It is noteworthy that Sergei Movsesian also scored 7.5 points out of 9 and took the first prize at the blitz tournament held in Pardubice, Czech Republic.
Movsesian was ahead of 95 chess players, including 31 grandmasters.
