Aravot: Car transporting passengers for free collides with bus
A car, whose driver Ashot Sargsyan was transporting people for free from Opera House in downtown Yerevan to Komitas Street and Davtashen district, collided with a bus No. 40. The driver of the car was picking up passengers at the bus stop. The correspondent of ‘Aravot’ paper witnessed the accident.
The bus driver claimed that he was not to blame as the stop is envisaged for buses and not passenger cars. On the other hand the car’s driver provided services of a fixed-run taxi. Ashot Sargsyan later wrote on his Facebook page that the bus drover accepted his fault, while the insurance company will pay compensation for damage to the bus. No one was injured.
