Yerevan mayor to make public statement today
At the government session today, Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan touched upon the increase in public transport fares and the protests staged in this connection. He said the protests are not organized by any parties and are a consequence of Yerevan mayor’s decision.
In the words of Deputy Mayor of Yerevan Kamo Areyan, Mayor Taron Margarian followed the public assessments personally and he met with representatives of the public and various social groups. The problem is now being discussed with the party factions of Yerevan Council of Elders.
Kamo Areyan said that following the meetings, the Yerevan mayor will make a public statement.
