Armenian and Azerbaijani parliamentary groups may meet
The Armenian-French and Azerbaijani-French parliamentary friendship groups are likely to meet in the autumn, Nouvelle d’Armenie writes.
The head of Armenian-French friendship group, parliamentary deputy Ara Babloyan told Aysor.am that the proposal for a meeting was made by the Armenian side.
“We believe that despite the conflict, it is wrong to arouse hostility in children of the two countries. Children of one country should not consider their coevals from another country as their enemies. In order to discuss and deal with these issues, we made a proposal to the French Senator Philippe Katzenbach to organize such a meeting. Katzenbach agreed and sent an inquiry to the Azerbaijani group. They seem to have responded positively,” Babloyan said.
The Azerbaijani-French friendship group is headed by Mehriban Aliyeva.
