Robber detained in casino
On July 31, a woman told the policemen on duty in Tairov village, Armavir province of Armenia, that around 6 pm on July 26, a young man ripped a gold chain (worth about 100,000 drams) from her neck and ran away. In the woman’s words, she had just seen the same man walking into the casino in the village.
Thanks to prompt actions of policemen, Vahagn Gh, 25, was detained in the casino, according to the press service of Armenian police.
On August 3, a woman called the Vagharshapat police unit and said that when watching “Police Precinct” television program on August 1, she recognized Vahagn Gh. as the man who snatched her hold chain and a cross worth 600,000 AMD and took to flight in the village of Tairov on April 4, 2012.
An investigation is being conducted.
