Arrest was chosen today as a measure of restraint against the Head of the Service of Court Administrators Armen Movsisian who is charged with embezzlement in particularly large amounts, PastInfo news agency said.
The court granted the investigator’s petition and used 2 months’ arrest as a measure of restraint against Movsisian. Gagik Khachatrian, a deputy head of the Service of Court Administrators, is also an accused person in the case, while another deputy head, Gegham Grigorian, is wanted by the police.
According to PastInfo, cases of salary embezzlement were disclosed in the system of court administrators, and the case is likely to become the second most sensational one after the case of embezzlement in the social security sphere.
