Chorrord Inknishkhanutyun: Doctor arrested for two months
‘Chorrord Inknishkhanutyun’ paper reported in the September 7 issue that Gagik Harutyunian, chief physician of the hospital in Baghramian village of Armavir province, was detained on suspicion of drug dealings. It became known yesterday that by a court decision, Gagik Harutyunian will be arrested for two months.
The doctor was charged under Article 266 part 1 of Armenia’s Criminal Code. The crimes indicated in that article (illegal manufacture, processing, procurement, keeping, trafficking and supply of narcotic drugs) are punished with 3-7 years imprisonment.
