Rustamian: ARFD sees no problems related to Kostanian’s person

The ARFD parliamentary faction has not yet discussed how it will vote on the candidacy of Gevorg Kostanian, the faction head Armen Rustamian said during a briefing in the parliament today.

In his words, the ARF-Dashnaktsutyun sees no problems related to Gevorg Kostanian as a person. “Aghvan Hovsepian was a more experienced prosecutor. Kostanian does not have so much experience, but he shows interesting approaches in terms of innovation and upgrading of knowledge, which is very positive,” Rustamian noted.

“We would like to know his vision and approaches concerning the issue of increasing control of the National Assembly over work of the prosecutor’s office as he knows that our goal is to shift to the parliamentary system and from this point of view, increasing the parliament’s control will be one of the most important steps,” Rustamian said.
