Draft state budget to be submitted to parliament for approval
Discussions of the draft state budget of Armenia for 2014 began at the special session of the Armenian government today. The draft budget was presented by Finance Minister David Sargsyan.
The minister said that in accordance with the 2014 draft state budget approved by the Armenian government, budget revenues will amount to 1 trillion 127 billion 400 million AMD, budget expenditures – to 1 trillion 237 billion 900 million AMD, with a budget deficit of 110 billion 500 million AMD.
According to David Sargsyan, the following macroeconomic indices – GDP of 4 trillion 723 billion AMD and economic growth of 5.2% formed the basis of the 2014 state budget. He said that the bulk of the budget resources will be provided for solution of problems in education, healthcare, social protection, and security.
The 2014 draft state budget will be submitted to the Armenian parliament for approval.
