Haykakan Zhamanak: Northern Avenue already ‘becomes dilapidated’
Yerevan’s Northern Avenue whose construction cost about $315 million has already ‘become dilapidated’ over the five years of its existence and is currently an uncomfortable area resembling a building site, ‘Haykakan Zhamanak’ says.
Experts say the reason is low-quality construction. “Flagstones on Northern Avenue are broken. All that remains is not protected. Street lamps are damaged, and the underground part resembles a trash dump. Yet there was a time when some intended to turn Northern Avenue into a visiting card of the capital city,” the paper writes.
