Aivazian: No one closes European market to us
We should not contrast the European Union with the Eurasian Union, and I don’t share the opinion that one of them is acceptable and the other is not, the deputy of the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) parliamentary faction, chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs Vardan Aivazian told reporters today.
“I am neither pro-European nor pro-Russian. I am pro-Armenian and give priority to Armenia’s interests,” Aivazian said, adding,
“In case of entry into the Customs Union, no one closes the European market to us. So no one prevents us from producing goods in line with European standards and selling them in Europe”.
According to V. Aivazian, after joining the Customs Union, Armenia will not have problems with Georgia either.
“The situation concerning our cooperation with Georgia will not change as we have commodity agreements with that country,” the committee chairman stated.
