V. Gabrielian: Wage rise is at center of government’s attention

Reforms of labor remuneration in government-financed institutions is at the center of the government’s attention, Minister – Chief of the Government Staff Vatche Gabrielian said during the Q&A hour in the Armenian parliament today when asked why the Armenian president’s statements about wage rise don’t correspond to government decisions.

According to Gabrielian, along with the 2014 budget package, a wage package was sent to the Armenian parliament. “The wages will be increased stage by stage. Wages of employees of defense and law enforcement agencies will increase on January 1, 2014, while the main salaries will increase in June 2014, which was stated by the Armenian president,” Vatche Gabrielian said.

He assured those present that the figures announced by the president in the State Revenue Committee and the government decisions were brought into line with each other. “Salaries will be raised. They will be in line with the figures voiced by the Armenian president,” Gabrielian said.
