Defendants in Harsnakar case may be freed under amnesty
The court examination of the Harsnakar case took an unexpected turn yesterday. The defendants who are accused of beating up several military doctors gave additional testimonies, ‘Haykakan Zhamanak’ writes.
The paper notes that the new testimonies of the defendants may give grounds for their release under the amnesty. The defendants ‘arranged’ their statements in such a way that each of them allegedly beat one military doctor.
We would remind you that several military doctors were beaten up in Harsnakar restaurant on June 17, 2012. One of them – 33-year-old Major Vahe Avetian, the head of the ENT unit of Armenian Defense Ministry’s Military hospital, died without regaining consciousness on June 29. A criminal case was opened, with six men being arrested: Arman Khachatrian, Norayr Hayrapetian, Garik Margarian, Arman Baghdasarian, David Adamian, and Arthur Babloyan.
