Zhoghovurd: Egg shortage continues in Armenia
Poultry factories in Armenia have cut production of eggs due to the increase in gas and electricity prices, ‘Zhoghovurd’ says. Moreover, a slaughter of hens began at some poultry factories. Following the price hike, the companies have to sell eggs at 80-90 drams apiece, which is unprofitable.
According to the daily, economic entities expressed concern over the shortage of eggs. “No measures have been taken at the state level to solve the problem, as a result of which the population suffers since the shortage of eggs continues in the country,” the paper writes.
