Afghan militants attack Kabul international compound
Militants have attacked a heavily-fortified international compound on the outskirts of the Afghan capital, Kabul, the BBC reported, citing security sources.
Police say the attack started when a car exploded at the gate of the compound, known as Green Village, which houses hundreds of international contractors and diplomats.
Some reports say the militants have managed to get inside the compound.
Green Village was attacked by a suicide car bomb in May 2012, killing eight.
