Head coach of Armenian football team resigns
The head coach of Armenia’s national football team Vardan Minasian will resign. In an interview posted on the website of the Football Federation of Armenia, Minasian said that he will no longer be the head coach of the team in the new qualifying round.
“Today I met with Football Federation’s President Ruben Hayrapetian. He proposed that I should be head coach in the new qualifying round, but I declined. I had the honor to be the national team’s head coach, but at the moment I’d like my career to continue differently. I received a number of offers, including from abroad, and I want to examine them,” Minasian said.
He thanked the Football Federation’s president, team players, and fans for their trust.
Vardan Minasian’s contract as head coach expires on October 31, 2013.
