Players ask head coach Minasian not to resign
The players of Armenia’s national football team sent a letter to the head coach Vardan Minasian, asking him to reconsider his decision to resign.
“Of course, we respect Vardan Minasian’s decision, but we would like him to reconsider it. In the past four years we together with him have followed a difficult path. We have managed to ensure our unity, struggle for our team’s wins and make our fans happy. Under the direction of Minasian, a good atmosphere and excellent human relations have formed in our team,” the letter reads, according to the press service of Armenia’s Football Federation.
“Besides, our professional path with V. Minasian was successful and we would like the national team together with him to qualify for Euro 2016 in the new qualifying round. We ask that V. Minasian reconsider his decision and continue to be the head coach of our team. We are waiting for our coach’s decision,” the letter says.
