Hraparak: MPs impressed by conduct of sports minister
The arrest of Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Yuri Vardanian’s son on suspicion of drug trafficking is being widely discussed. Deputies of the Armenian parliament were impressed by Yuri Vardanian’ conduct: he didn’t interfere and allowed law enforcers to investigate fairly.
Parliamentary deputy Mher Sedrakian told ‘Hraparak’ daily that he doesn’t believe that Y. Vardanian’s son is implicated in such a crime, but “if a man entered that business, or used, or sold, you can give him up as a lost person”.
When asked whether the arrest means that Y. Vardanian gave up his son as a lost man, M. Sedrakian replied: “I cannot say. I cannot believe it until see it”.
