Business entities have to buy new cash registers
A large group of business entities in Armenia will have to install the so-called ‘new’ cash registers from November 1. The matter concerns cash registers worth 369,600 drams that the government foisted on business entities.
‘Haykakan Zhamanak’ daily says that by a September 5, 2013 decision of the Armenian government, all business entities liable to VAT, as well as importers whose average monthly turnover exceeds 10 million AMD shall use new cash registers starting from November. In July the government promised that only large entities will buy cash registers at 369,600 AMD, but smaller ones may purchase them at a lower price. Only 6 days remain until November 1, but ‘smaller’ entities whose number reaches 4,000 still buy cash registers at 369,600 AMD.
