Prime minister: 32 thousand people to overcome poverty threshold
The 2014 draft state budget of Armenia envisages increasing pensions, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan said today.
In his words, the pension growth will affect first of all those who receive the minimum pension, while pensions of 93 thousand drams and over will not be raised.
“Thanks to an increase in pensions in 2014, some 32 thousand people will overcome the poverty threshold. The poverty index tends to decline, and due to the social programs of the budget, this tendency will become more evident in 2014,” T. Sargsyan stated.
