Anti-corruption centers to stop functioning in Armenia
The anti-corruption centers in Armenia will stop functioning starting from February 1, 2014.
‘Haykakan Zhamanak’ says this information was confirmed by the centers, but they refuse to speak about it officially.
The anticorruption centers, officially called Interests Protection and Support Centers, were founded in 2008 with grants of the USAID. The centers provide free legal advice and assistance to Armenian citizens. According to employees, the USAID intends to stop their financing in three months.
